Camping in the Fall

Camping in the Fall

Camping is a great way to connect with nature and block out the distractions of the world. It is also beneficial to your mental health. If you are planning a trip this fall it is best to pack accordingly so you are prepared for the weather.

Here is a list of items to pack on your trip:

A good sleeping bag– Be sure you have a quality sleeping bag that is properly insulated and made for cold weather conditions. The last thing you want is a sleeping bag that won’t keep you warm at night.

Quality tent– This is also another important element in ensuring your comfort and safety while camping during the fall. Be sure to purchase a good quality tent with a rain fly. The rain fly will ensure that you do not get wet if it begins raining.beautiful campsite with tent, backpacks and other equipment during beautiful sunny day in the forest

First aid kit-An essential part of remaining safe during your camping trip. Although you hope you won’t need to use it, the first aid kit will come in handy for a variety of uses. Setting up camp can sometimes result in a few scrapes and scratches, so it is best to have a first aid kit handy.

Backpack– This is a good place to keep your smaller essentials and tools. Make sure that it is a camping back pack complete with a variety of compartments for your various items.

Tarp– You should lay a tarp down before setting up your tent as an extra layer of protection from the elements.

Here are a few other items to bring:

  • Bug spray
  • Sunscreen
  • Medications (if any)
  • Extra blankets
  • Snacks
